Portal Web para incentivar los hábitos de estudio en la Universidad de las Ciencias Informáticas.

Abstract

El Centro de Innovación y Calidad de la Educación de la Universidad de las Ciencias Informáticas (UCI) tiene como objetivo principal mejorar la calidad de la educación en la UCI. El centro desarrolla proyectos de investigación, uno de estos proyectos es el de hábitos de estudio en estudiantes de la carrera Ingeniería en Ciencias Informáticas. Este trabajo es uno de los resultados de este proyecto de investigación, su objetivo es desarrollar un portal web para incentivar los hábitos de estudio en los estudiantes en la UCI. Se utilizaron como métodos de investigación teóricos, empíricos y el matemático estadístico. Para el desarrollo del portal se usó como metodología de desarrollo de software AUP-UCI y Visual Paradigm como herramienta CASE, lo que permitió un correcto entendimiento entre el cliente y el equipo de desarrollo. Para la construcción de la solución se utilizó Drupal como Sistema de Gestión de Contenidos (CMS), así como otras herramientas y tecnologías de código abierto. El portal web desarrollado les brinda a los estudiantes un espacio donde podrán fomentar las diferentes técnicas de aprendizaje. Tiene cuestionarios para autodiagnosticar el estilo de aprendizaje, convocatorias a concursos de habilidades, imágenes, videos, noticias de interés y otros servicios que se pondrán a su disposición. Se desarrolló una herramienta para fomentar hábitos de estudio efectivos en la UCI, lo que mejoraría la calidad educativa y el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes. La herramienta ayudaría en la planificación y seguimiento de hábitos de estudio eficaces para lograr el éxito académico.

Its objective is to develop a web portal to encourage study habits in students at the University of Informatics Sciences. For the development of the portal, AUP - UCI was used as the software development methodology and Visual Paradigm as the CASE tool, which allowed a correct understanding between the client and the development team. For the construction of the solut ion, Drupal was used as the Content Management System (CMS) as well as other open - source tools and technologies. The developed web portal provides students with a space where they can promote different learning techniques. It has questionnaires to self - dia gnose the learning style, calls for skill contests, images, videos, news of interest and other services that will be made available to you. A tool was developed to promote effective study habits in the UCI, which would improve the educational quality and a cademic performance of students. The tool would help in planning and monitoring effective study habits to achieve academic success.
