Las funciones del tutor en la educación virtual

Abstract

El objetivo de este artículo es describir las funciones que debe desempeñar el tutor para ejercer adecuadamente su rol en la educación virtual. Para lo cual se desarrolló un estudio bajo un enfoque cualitativo de alcance descriptivo. Se realizó un análisis documental de artículos recuperados mediante Google Académico, DOAJ, Dialnet y Scopus, que utilizando el método de investigación empírico análisis documental en conjunción con los teóricos analítico-sintético e inductivo-deductivo, posibilitaron actualizar los conocimientos referentes a las funciones del tutor en un curso virtual. Este estudio permitió, teniendo en cuenta la relevancia del rol que juegan los tutores en el desarrollo de la tutoría en los cursos virtuales, realizar una sistematización de las principales funciones que este debe desempeñar. Como resultado se asumen las funciones tutoriales: orientadora/social, académica/pedagógica,tecnológica,institucional/administrativa e investigadora/innovadora y se reconoce la necesidad de que el tutor virtual domine todas estas funciones para un correcto desempeño de su labor.

The objective of this paper is to describe the functions that the tutor must perform in order to appropriately exercise his role in virtual education. For which a study was developed under a qualitative approach of descriptive scope. A documentary analysis of articles retrieved by Google Academic and Redalyc was carried out, which using the empirical method of research, documentary analysis in conjunction with the analytical-synthetic and inductive-deductive theoretical methods, allowed to update the knowledge regarding the functions of the tutor in a virtual course. This study allowed a systematization of the main theoretical references on the potentialities of virtual tutoring, the relevance of the role of virtual tutor and the main functions that it should perform. As a result, the tutorial functions are assumed: guidance/social, academic/pedagogical, technological, institutional/administrative
